Make sure the subfloor is clean, sound, level and free from contamination before fitting. For chipboard, use only suitable P4 to P7 flooring-grade boards that are securely fixed and show no movement or damage. Cut the underlay to size, lay it with the adhesive side down, remove the protective film and press it firmly into place before rolling the surface with a suitable pressure roller. Install the LVT using an adhesive system recommended for use over UZIN RR 620.
UZIN RR 620 is a self-adhesive acoustic underlay designed specifically for glue-down luxury vinyl tile installations. It provides a thin, stable layer beneath the LVT, helping improve underfoot comfort and reduce impact sound without creating significant additional floor height.
The 2mm underlay has a high-compressive-strength construction with a glass-fleece carrier layer to distribute loads effectively. Once fitted, it is immediately ready to receive the chosen floor covering, making it a practical solution for renovation projects and suitable flooring-grade chipboard subfloors.
Prepare the substrate so it is clean, dry, sound, level and free from dust, grease and loose material. Roll out UZIN RR 620 with the adhesive side facing down, cut accurately to fit and remove the protective film before firmly bonding the underlay to the prepared substrate, avoiding creases, air pockets and tension. Once installed, apply a suitable LVT adhesive to the upper surface in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions and install the LVT flooring as specified. RR 620 is approximately 2mm thick and supplied in 1m x 7.5m rolls, providing 7.5m² coverage per roll. Always refer to the latest UZIN technical documentation and the LVT and adhesive manufacturer’s installation requirements before use.

UZIN RR 620 is installed beneath the final LVT floorcovering and requires no separate routine maintenance once covered. Keep the finished LVT clean and maintained according to the flooring manufacturer’s instructions, and avoid sharp objects, fixings or other damage that could penetrate the flooring system. If the LVT is removed during future refurbishment, inspect the underlay for lifting, tears, damage or areas that have lost adhesion before installing a new floorcovering.
