Use STOPGAP 114 Liquid only with STOPGAP GREEN BAG and follow the current F. Ball mixing ratios and preparation instructions. The subfloor must be sound, clean and suitable for the system; drying and covering times vary with temperature, humidity, thickness and site conditions.
STOPGAP 114 Liquid is a high-quality gauging liquid designed for use with F. Ball STOPGAP GREEN BAG smoothing compound. When used as part of this system, it helps create a smooth, sound base for new floor coverings over both absorbent and non-absorbent subfloors.
It is a system component rather than a stand-alone smoothing product. Combining STOPGAP 114 Liquid with STOPGAP GREEN BAG can remove the need for a separate primer on suitable surfaces, helping streamline floor-preparation work and reduce waiting time between stages.
STOPGAP 114 Liquid is a 5L gauging liquid formulated for use with STOPGAP GREEN BAG general-purpose smoothing compound. It should only be used as part of that specified system and not substituted with water or another liquid.
Prepare the subfloor so it is sound, clean and free from contamination. F. Ball states that STOPGAP GREEN BAG used with 114 Liquid can be applied over suitable absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces without priming; however, sound flooring-grade asphalt and STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes require neat STOPGAP P141.
Add the liquid to a clean mixing vessel and introduce the GREEN BAG powder in the quantity stated in the current technical data sheet. Mix mechanically until smooth and lump-free, then apply the compound in accordance with its specified thickness range.
At 3mm, the finished smoothing layer can normally receive floorcoverings from approximately 12 hours, subject to temperature and drying conditions. Refer to the F. Ball STOPGAP 114 Liquid product information before installation.

STOPGAP 114 Liquid is a gauging component and is not a finished floor surface. Keep the container securely closed when not in use and clean up any spills promptly in accordance with the product safety guidance.
Once it has been mixed with STOPGAP GREEN BAG and cured, protect the prepared subfloor from dirt, moisture and damage until the final floorcovering is fitted. Follow the maintenance guidance for the completed floorcovering after installation.
