For a more complete finish around thicker vinyl and lino flooring, the Lino Edge 4.5mm Gold provides a smart protective trim at the edge of the floor. It is designed to sit neatly at thresholds and doorways, creating a clear boundary where the flooring ends.
The longer 2.7m profile is ideal for wider openings, continuous runs or cutting into several sections for different rooms. Finished in polished gold, it brings a warm decorative touch while helping the flooring edge look clean and well cared for.
This 2.7m edge profile is designed for floor finishes up to approximately 4.5mm thick. Confirm the installed flooring thickness before fitting so the material can sit correctly within the profile without excessive pressure.
Ensure the flooring edge is straight, clean and fully secured before beginning. Support the full profile during handling, then measure the run carefully and plan any cuts before fixing.
Cut the trim to length with a fine-tooth saw, taking care to produce a clean edge. Smooth away burrs, then dry-fit the profile to check that it lies flat and follows the flooring boundary evenly.
Secure the profile at suitable intervals with fixings appropriate for the subfloor. Check for concealed services before drilling, and avoid overtightening. On completion, make sure the trim is stable, level and free from sharp cut ends or raised sections.

Keep the gold Lino Edge free from grit by sweeping or vacuuming the finished flooring edge regularly. Wipe the profile with a soft cloth and diluted neutral cleaner when required, then dry it to maintain a clean finish.
Avoid abrasive pads, polish removers and solvent-based chemicals. These may scratch the surface or affect the appearance of the gold finish.
Inspect the full run periodically, especially in high-use areas. Make sure the profile remains firmly fixed and that the flooring edge beneath it is still properly supported.
