Resilient flooring
Install SI100/50/2P on a clean, sound wall-to-floor junction in line with Gradus fitting guidance. Use compatible resilient flooring and an approved welding method to form the sealed finish. Professional installation is recommended for healthcare and other hygiene-critical areas.
Gradus SI100/50/2P is a black flexible PVC set-in skirting for resilient flooring installations that need a sealed, hygienic wall-to-floor finish. It is designed to become part of the flooring system, creating a continuous skirting detail rather than simply covering the edge after installation.
When properly welded to compatible flooring, the profile forms an impervious seal that supports cleaning and infection-control requirements. This makes it a strong choice for hospital treatment areas, clinical settings and other critical clean environments.
The SI100/50/2P is 100 mm high with a 50 mm foot depth and is supplied in 2 metre lengths. It is suitable for both hot and cold welding and is supplied in black as standard.
Gradus SI100/50/2P is a black, 100mm-high flexible PVC set-in skirting for use with 2mm resilient floorcoverings. The 50mm foot is incorporated into the flooring installation, allowing the skirting to be welded to the floorcovering for a continuous finish.
Make sure the wall and subfloor are dry, clean, smooth and sound. Check compatibility between the skirting, selected resilient flooring, adhesive and welding method before installation, then measure and cut the 2m lengths to suit each wall run and corner detail.
Bond the skirting firmly to the wall with an adhesive suitable for the profile and substrate. Keep the profile level and straight, ensuring the foot lies flat and is fully supported prior to fitting the resilient flooring.
Install the floorcovering into the set-in section and complete the hot or cold weld in accordance with the flooring manufacturer’s instructions. Inspect all seams and corners after welding to confirm that the final detail is continuous, secure and suitable for the environment.

Maintain the SI100/50/2P skirting as part of the completed resilient-floor cleaning programme. Clean the wall-to-floor transition with a soft mop or cloth and a neutral cleaner, making sure soil is not allowed to gather along the skirting or welded floor joint.
Do not use abrasive tools, solvents or harsh chemical products that may damage the flexible PVC surface. Regularly inspect the welded sections, corners and joins, especially where a hygienic sealed finish is required, and repair any damaged area promptly.
