Construction
Flexible PVC profile for internal flooring applications
Fit to clean, dry and sound wall surfaces once the floorcovering has been installed and trimmed. Use a suitable contact adhesive and align the capping strip carefully along the top edge of the flooring for a neat, continuous finish.
Quantum QCC1 is a flexible PVC capping strip for completing resilient flooring installations where the floorcovering runs up the wall. It covers the trimmed top edge of the flooring to create a more refined and secure-looking finish.
Used alongside compatible cove former or set-in skirting systems, the QCC1 helps form a smooth wall-to-floor detail that is practical to clean and maintain. Its flexible design makes it suitable for a wide range of internal commercial flooring projects.
Quantum QCC1 is a flexible PVC capping strip supplied in 2m lengths for use with resilient floorcoverings. It is designed to finish and cover the trimmed upper edge of flooring where it turns up the wall.
Make sure the wall, floorcovering and intended fixing area are clean, dry and free from dust or loose material. Measure and cut the strip accurately, allowing for corners, curves and returns before adhesive is applied.
Use a suitable contact adhesive in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Position the capping strip evenly over the flooring edge and press it firmly into place, ensuring it follows the wall line without gaps, tension or distortion.
Complete any required coving, welding or seal details in line with the selected flooring system.

Quantum QCC1 Flexible Capping Strip should be cleaned together with the finished floor and wall junction. Use a soft cloth or mop with a mild cleaner compatible with PVC and the adjoining resilient floorcovering.
Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents and sharp scraping tools that could mark the profile or disturb the flooring edge beneath it. Inspect the capping strip regularly for lifted sections, splits or damage at corners and joins.
Maintaining a secure upper floor edge helps keep the installation neat and easy to clean.
