Finishing and protecting flooring edges
Measure the doorway and check the flooring thickness before fitting. Cut the trim neatly to the required size and secure it with fixings suitable for the subfloor to keep the edge firmly in place.
The Lino Edge 4.5mm Silver provides a simple, tidy way to finish the edge of thicker vinyl or lino flooring. Used at doorways and thresholds, it helps create a defined stopping point for the floor while covering the exposed edge for a more polished appearance.
Its silver finish offers a neutral, contemporary look that pairs easily with most interior styles. At 0.9m long, it is a practical choice for a standard doorway or a compact room-to-room transition.
This 0.9m profile is intended for use with floor coverings up to approximately 4.5mm thick. Check the thickness of the finished flooring before installation, ensuring it is compatible with the profile.
Make sure the flooring edge is neatly trimmed, fully secured and free from dust or loose material. Measure the opening before cutting the profile to length, then use a fine-tooth saw and carefully smooth any cut edges.
Place the profile over the flooring edge and dry-fit it to confirm that it sits flat and covers the transition evenly. It should not pinch, damage or restrict the floor covering.
Fix the trim with appropriate screws and plugs, or another suitable method for the subfloor. Check for concealed cables, pipes and underfloor heating before drilling. Once installed, make sure the profile is level, stable and free from sharp edges.

Remove dirt from the silver Lino Edge regularly with a soft brush, vacuum attachment or dry cloth. For a more thorough clean, wipe the profile using a mild neutral cleaner and a non-abrasive cloth, then dry it afterwards.
Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive pads and scouring powders, as these can damage the polished finish. Wipe up excess water quickly so it does not remain around the flooring edge.
Check the doorway from time to time to ensure the trim is firmly fixed and that there is no lifting at the edge of the floor covering.
