For a more comfortable finish and improved carpet life, fit Lano Genius over a suitable underlay with gripper around the room perimeter. The subfloor should be clean, dry, smooth and secure before fitting, and the carpet should be allowed to acclimatise on site.
Lano Genius is a neat, practical twist-pile carpet made from 100% polypropylene. It has a comfortable mid-height pile that works well in everyday rooms, offering a clean, simple finish without the heavier feel of a deep luxury carpet.
Designed for medium domestic use, Genius is a reliable choice for bedrooms, living rooms and lower-traffic hallways. The close tuft construction supports a tidy appearance, while the polypropylene fibres make it a straightforward carpet for busy homes.
Lano Genius is a 100% polypropylene twist-pile carpet with secondary backing. Before installation, check that all material is from the correct batch, allow it to acclimatise in the room and inspect it for visible defects before cutting.
The subfloor must be dry, level, clean and secure. For a standard domestic fit, install suitable carpet underlay and perimeter gripper, selecting the correct gripper type for timber or concrete subfloors. Keep underlay joints neat and tightly butted.
Position the carpet so the pile direction is consistent throughout the room. Plan seams carefully and use an appropriate seaming method where joins cannot be avoided. Keep joins away from the main traffic route where possible.
Stretch the carpet evenly over the gripper, secure the perimeter and trim at doorways with an appropriate transition strip. Ensure no loose edges, ripples or poorly supported seams remain before the room is returned to use.

Vacuum Lano Genius frequently to remove everyday dust and grit from the twist pile. In rooms with regular footfall, vacuum slowly in different directions to lift surface soil and help maintain an even appearance.
Blot spills promptly with a clean, colourfast cloth. Do not scrub the pile, as this can spread the stain and roughen the fibres. Use a cleaner suitable for polypropylene carpet only after testing it in an inconspicuous area.
Arrange occasional professional cleaning when required, particularly in busy rooms. Use furniture glides or cups beneath heavy pieces and avoid pulling furniture across the carpet, which may cause indentations or disturb the pile.
