Apply only to a sound, smooth, dry and properly prepared subfloor. Use the trowel notch size recommended for the floorcovering and work within the adhesive’s open time. Coverage will vary with the condition and absorbency of the subfloor. Refer to the F. Ball Recommended Adhesives Guide and the latest technical data sheet before use.
F. Ball Styccobond F73 PLUS is a one-part, fibre-reinforced heavy-duty flooring adhesive for demanding installations. It is moisture curing and offers high bond strength, making it a reliable option where floorcoverings will be exposed to regular footfall, heavy loads or more challenging conditions.
Once cured, F73 PLUS is resistant to water, oil and grease. It can be used indoors and outdoors, and is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating systems. The single-pack format also removes the need for on-site mixing, helping keep installation straightforward.
It is suitable for a wide range of floorcoverings, including vinyl, rubber, needle-punched and fibre-bonded carpet, artificial grass, and carpets with PVC, latex, polyurethane or rubber backings. Always check the specific floorcovering manufacturer’s adhesive recommendation before installation.
Confirm that F73 PLUS is recommended for the chosen floor covering, then prepare a subfloor that is clean, dry, smooth, structurally sound and free from contamination. Any required moisture testing, smoothing, priming or damp-proof membrane work must be completed before adhesive application.
Spread the adhesive evenly with the specified trowel notch, selecting the correct notch size for the floor covering and substrate. Work within the stated open time, normally around 20 to 30 minutes, and place the covering carefully into the adhesive while it remains workable. Use a roller or other appropriate method to obtain full contact and remove trapped air.
Observe the required curing period before allowing heavy use or welding seams. Underfloor heating should be switched off before and during installation, then recommissioned gradually in accordance with the floor-covering and heating-system instructions.

Once fully cured, STYCCOBOND F73 PLUS provides a high-strength bond with resistance to water, oil and grease. Maintain the finished floor in accordance with its own cleaning guidance, as the adhesive remains concealed beneath the covering.
Store any unused product in its original, tightly closed container in dry conditions and protect it from extremes of temperature. F73 PLUS is water resistant when cured, but it is not a damp-proof membrane and must not be used in place of a suitable moisture-control system.
