Fit PCS40P onto a clean, sound wall surface using a suitable adhesive. Use it alongside a compatible cove former to support the flooring as it curves up the wall, and check that the selected resilient flooring is suitable for cap-and-cove installation before fitting.
Gradus PCS40P is a black flexible PVC capping seal for completing coved resilient flooring at wall level. It fits over the upper edge of the flooring after it has been dressed up the wall, creating a neat, practical finish to the skirting detail.
Designed for 2 mm resilient floorcoverings, this profile is usually used with a compatible cove former. Together, the two components create a smooth transition from floor to wall that is easier to clean and better suited to commercial spaces where hygiene and a professional appearance matter.
The PCS40P is supplied in a 2 metre length and is available in black only, making it a straightforward choice for installations using black coving or a darker trim finish.
Gradus PCS40P is a black, flexible PVC capping seal for finishing the upper edge of a 2mm resilient floorcovering where it has been continued up the wall. It is intended for internal installations and is normally used with a compatible cove former.
Before installation, make sure the wall surface and coved floorcovering are clean, dry and properly prepared. Measure the installation run, cut the 2m profile accurately and test-fit it to confirm that it follows the wall line and corner details cleanly.
Apply a compatible adhesive in accordance with the flooring-system and adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Position the seal over the upper edge of the flooring, then press it firmly and evenly into place along its full length.
Pay particular attention to mitres, internal corners and joints so the finish remains continuous and neatly aligned. Keep the completed area free from traffic and cleaning until the adhesive has achieved its required cure.

Care for the PCS40P as part of the adjacent resilient-floor and coved-wall finish. Use a soft cloth or mop with a neutral cleaning solution to remove surface dirt, taking care to clean gently along the top edge of the flooring.
Do not use abrasive scourers, strong solvents or undiluted chemical cleaners on the PVC seal. Include the capping detail in planned maintenance checks and re-secure any areas that show signs of lifting before dirt or moisture can enter the joint.
