Measure the doorway before cutting the trim to size. Position it evenly over the join and secure it with fixings suitable for the subfloor, taking care not to damage the flooring below.
Finish your flooring neatly with this wide silver lino cover doorbar. Designed to sit over a join at a doorway, it helps hide gaps, protect flooring edges and create a much tidier transition between adjoining surfaces.
The polished silver finish gives the trim a clean, modern look that works well with contemporary interiors and chrome fittings. At 1.5 inches wide, it offers generous coverage across the join, while the 0.9m length is suitable for many standard internal doorways.
Install the cover after the adjoining floor finishes have been fitted, fully bonded where required and trimmed neatly at the doorway. The threshold should be dry, clean and reasonably level before the profile is positioned.
Measure the opening and cut the 0.9m length to suit using a fine-tooth saw. File or deburr the cut ends carefully so there are no sharp edges. Dry-fit the profile first to ensure it sits centrally and provides even coverage over the join.
Mark the fixing positions, taking care to identify any underfloor services before drilling. Use screws and plugs, or another fixing method, that are appropriate for the subfloor beneath.
Secure the cover firmly but without overtightening. Confirm that it sits flat, does not trap the flooring edges and creates a stable transition before allowing normal foot traffic.

Remove loose dust from the silver lino cover during normal floor cleaning, using a vacuum brush attachment or soft broom around the threshold. Wipe the profile with a soft cloth and diluted neutral cleaner, then dry it to prevent water marks.
Do not use wire wool, abrasive sponges, bleach or solvent-based cleaners on the polished surface. These can scratch the finish or reduce its appearance over time.
Check the cover periodically for loose fixings, movement or raised edges. Tighten or replace suitable fixings where needed so the doorway remains secure and safe to walk over.
