Ball & Young Super Contract 10mm is a dense, comfortable carpet underlay made for spaces that need both durability and a more luxurious feel underfoot. It is suitable for demanding domestic and contract settings, giving carpet a supportive base while adding a noticeably softer feel in rooms such as living rooms and bedrooms.
Its Cloud 9 crumb construction is designed to perform well in busy areas, while the 10mm thickness provides useful thermal insulation and impact-sound reduction. Super Contract can be fitted by either stretch-fit or double-stick methods, making it a versatile choice for professional carpet installations.
Fit Super Contract over a clean, dry, smooth and stable subfloor. Remove loose material, protruding fixings and surface irregularities before laying the underlay.
Lay the 10mm underlay flat, with adjacent lengths tightly butted together rather than overlapped. Trim carefully around the room perimeter and fixed features, then tape all joins using suitable underlay tape.
Super Contract is suitable for both stretch-fit and double-stick carpet installations. Use the appropriate gripper or a compatible adhesive system for the chosen fitting method. It is designed for luxury-contract and domestic areas, including living rooms and bedrooms.

Ball & Young Super Contract 10mm is installed beneath carpet and needs no routine cleaning once the floor is complete. Maintain the carpet above properly and deal with leaks or wet spills promptly to prevent moisture affecting the underlay and subfloor.
When the carpet is removed for refurbishment, inspect the underlay for compression, tearing or damp damage. Replace any affected areas before fitting replacement carpet to preserve the intended comfort and support.
