Internal commercial and industrial floors
The floor must be sound, clean, dry and properly primed before application. Mix the powder with clean water in accordance with the current F. Ball technical guidance, then apply at the required depth and finish with suitable smoothing tools. In areas exposed to water or fluid spillages, protect the cured surface with STOPGAP SEAL as directed by F. Ball.
STOPGAP 800 is a self-smoothing wearing-surface compound for upgrading and renovating internal commercial and industrial floors. It is intended for applications where a hard-wearing finished surface is required without fitting a separate floor covering.
Applied between 5mm and 15mm, it creates a smooth, durable floor finish for light to heavy-duty internal use. The 25kg water-mix compound is suitable for refurbishment work in environments such as workshops, warehouses, production areas and commercial spaces.
STOPGAP 800 Wearcoat is a water-mix, self-smoothing wearing surface for upgrading and renovating internal floors where a separate floorcovering is not required. It is intended for light- to heavy-duty commercial and industrial applications.
Prepare the subfloor so it is clean, dry, structurally sound and free from loose material, contamination and surface treatments that could affect adhesion. Use the appropriate primer for the substrate and allow it to dry fully before application.
Mix the 25kg powder with clean water in accordance with the current technical data sheet, then pour and spread the compound evenly. STOPGAP 800 is applied from 5mm to 15mm and should be finished with the appropriate smoothing tools as it flows.
Allow the surface to cure before use and before applying STOPGAP SEAL. At 20°C, sealing is normally carried out after approximately 24 hours; allow longer in cool or damp conditions.

STOPGAP 800 is designed as a finished wearing surface for suitable internal commercial and industrial floors. Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove abrasive dirt, and clean spills promptly using a suitable neutral cleaner.
For better protection and easier maintenance, the cured surface should be sealed with STOPGAP SEAL where specified. This helps reduce dirt adhesion and protect the Wearcoat surface, particularly in areas exposed to water or fluid spillages.
