Make sure the wall surface is clean, dry and smooth, and that the floorcovering has been properly coved and trimmed. Fit the UCS2 evenly along the top edge using an adhesive suitable for the profile and substrate, following the full flooring system manufacturer’s installation guidance.
Quantum UCS2 is a flexible PVC capping strip for finishing resilient floorcoverings where they are continued up the wall. It covers the trimmed upper edge of the flooring to create a neat, continuous perimeter detail.
Its flexible construction makes it a practical choice for internal installations where the profile needs to follow slight wall variations or gentle curves. Used with a compatible cove former, it helps complete a clean and easy-to-maintain cap-and-cove system.
Quantum UCS2 is a flexible PVC capping strip for internal resilient-floor installations. The 2m length is designed to finish the upper edge where flooring is continued up the wall as part of a cap-and-cove detail.
Before fitting, make sure the wall, floorcovering and bonding surfaces are dry, smooth, clean and free from dust, grease or loose material. Measure each run accurately, allowing for corners, returns and joints, then dry-fit the profile before adhesive is applied.
Use a compatible contact adhesive and follow the adhesive manufacturer’s guidance on coverage and open time. Position the UCS2 evenly over the top flooring edge, pressing it firmly into place without stretching the PVC or leaving gaps.
Complete associated coving, seam welding and any wet-area sealing in accordance with the chosen flooring system. Refer to the Quantum UCS2 product information before installation.

Clean the Quantum UCS2 Universal Capping Strip with the adjoining resilient floor and wall finish, using a soft cloth or mop and a mild cleaner suitable for PVC. Regular attention to the upper flooring edge helps keep the detail clean and presentable.
Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvent cleaners and sharp tools that could scratch the flexible profile or disturb the floorcovering beneath it. Inspect joins, corners and regularly washed areas for lifting, damage or separation from the wall.
Backed by a 10-year warranty, providing long-term confidence in the flooring’s quality and durability.
