For the best result, check that the trim suits your floor thickness before installation. Measure the opening, cut the profile cleanly to size and fix it securely using a method suitable for the subfloor.
Create a crisp finishing line around your vinyl or lino flooring with this 3.2mm silver lino edge. It is made for locations where the floor finish ends at a threshold, helping to hold the edge neatly in place and reduce the unfinished look of an exposed cut.
The longer 2.7m strip gives greater flexibility on wider openings and can also be cut down for several smaller doorways. Its polished silver finish is understated and versatile, making it easy to coordinate with modern flooring and interior hardware.
Check that the finished floor covering is no more than approximately 3.2mm thick before selecting this profile. The trim should not be forced over a thicker material, as this may prevent a flush and secure fit.
Prepare the flooring edge and subfloor so they are clean, dry, stable and neatly trimmed. Support the 2.7m profile during handling, then measure the full run carefully before cutting.
Cut the profile to length using a suitable fine-tooth saw and remove sharp edges or burrs. Position it along the flooring edge and dry-fit it first, ensuring that it follows the line evenly and sits flat.
Fix the profile with a method suitable for the subfloor, taking care to check for concealed pipes, wiring or heating components before drilling. Secure it firmly without crushing the flooring, then inspect the completed edge for a smooth, stable finish.

Maintain the silver Lino Edge by removing surface dust and debris as part of normal floor care. Wipe it with a soft damp cloth and a mild, pH-neutral cleaner, then dry the profile to keep the finish looking clean.
Avoid abrasive pads, scouring products and strong solvents. These can leave scratches or affect the polished appearance of the trim.
Inspect the edge at intervals, particularly along longer runs and busy thresholds. Check that the profile remains secure and that the flooring beneath has not loosened or lifted.
