Apply only after the floor covering has been correctly fitted and the seam accurately double cut. Protect the area around the joint with suitable tape, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and work in a well-ventilated space with appropriate personal protective equipment.
Werner Müller Type A is a larger-format PVC cold-welding liquid for sealing closely cut seams in new PVC flooring and wall-covering installations. Supplied in a 132g tube, it is intended for double-cut joins where the floor-covering edges meet tightly.
The precision needle nozzle guides the liquid into the seam to bond the adjoining PVC edges. With approximate coverage of 60 linear metres, this size is suited to larger installations or installers who need more material available on site.
Type A Cold Weld is intended for new installations with closely cut PVC seams, typically created using a double-cut technique. Apply masking tape over the seam, cut through the tape along the joint, then use the integrated precision needle to apply the welding liquid into the full depth of the seam. The 132g tube provides approximately 60 linear metres of coverage and the seam is typically walkable after around 30 minutes, with full curing taking approximately 1 hour. Always follow the manufacturer’s application instructions and use suitable protective gloves during application.
