Bostik Screedmaster SL C540 Flow is a two-part, high-flow smoothing compound for levelling uneven internal floors before fitting carpet, LVT, vinyl, tiles and other decorative floor coverings. Supplied as a 20kg powder bag with a 4.17L latex liquid bottle, it mixes into a smooth, workable compound that spreads easily and helps achieve a clean, even finish.
Its moisture-tolerant, protein and casein-free formulation makes it a useful choice for domestic and commercial floor preparation, including work in occupied buildings. SL C540 Flow can be used across a wide range of properly prepared subfloors and is suitable for warm-water underfloor heating systems.
Prepare the subfloor so it is sound, clean and free from loose material, grease, dust and unsuitable adhesive residues. Identify the substrate before work begins and use the correct Bostik primer where required by the current technical guidance.
Shake the latex liquid thoroughly, add it to a clean mixing bucket, then gradually introduce the 20kg powder while mixing with a slow-speed drill and paddle. Mix until the compound is smooth and consistent. Do not add extra water or alter the supplied powder-to-liquid ratio.
Apply the mixed material promptly and spread it with suitable smoothing tools. Its high-flow formulation is intended to help create an even surface over compatible rigid subfloors. Work within the recommended application thickness and allow the compound to dry fully before covering.
SL C540 Flow is for internal use only and should always be covered with a suitable floor finish. It can be used with compatible water and electric underfloor-heating systems, provided the system is operated within the manufacturer’s temperature limits. Confirm the drying period, substrate suitability and any moisture-control requirements before installation.

Screedmaster SL C540 Flow is an underlayment, rather than a finished floor surface. After it has cured, keep it protected from heavy traffic, dirt and moisture until the selected floor finish is fitted.
Clean mixing buckets, paddles and tools with warm, soapy water straight after use. Wipe away any surplus material before it sets, as hardened compound can normally only be removed mechanically.
Before progressing with adhesives or floor coverings, make sure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust. Check that it has cured sufficiently for the type of flooring being installed and the conditions on site.
