Ensure the subfloor is clean, sound, dry and free from dust, grease, paint or loose material before use. Mix the powder and latex liquid exactly in line with the Mapei technical guidance, then apply using suitable smoothing tools. Drying and covering times will vary with temperature, humidity, subfloor condition and application thickness.
Mapei Latexplan Fast is a two-part, rapid-setting smoothing and levelling compound for preparing internal floors before a new floor covering is fitted. Supplied as a 20kg powder bag with a 4kg bottle of latex liquid, it helps create a smooth, even and dependable base over suitable new or existing subfloors.
Its fast-drying formulation makes it particularly useful where installation time is limited. Once mixed and applied correctly, it can be walked on in around one hour and is typically ready to receive floor coverings in less than three hours, subject to site conditions.
Mapei Latexplan Fast is supplied as a two-part system: a 20kg powder bag and a 4kg liquid bottle. Prepare the subfloor so it is sound, clean and free from dust, grease, loose material and residues that could affect adhesion. Assess the substrate and apply a suitable Mapei primer where required.
Use the complete bottle of liquid with the corresponding powder bag, following the mixing procedure in the current technical data sheet. Mix mechanically until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved. Do not add extra water or alter the stated mixing ratio.
Pour the mixed compound onto the floor and spread it with appropriate smoothing tools. Latexplan Fast is designed for application from 3mm to 10mm in a single coat. Work efficiently, as the mixed compound has a limited working time.
Allow the product to cure under suitable site conditions before applying adhesive or fitting the final floor finish. Walk-on and covering times depend on temperature, humidity, thickness and the substrate, so always confirm readiness before proceeding.

Latexplan Fast is a subfloor-preparation compound intended to be covered by the final floor finish. Once cured, protect the prepared surface from impact, contamination and prolonged moisture until the chosen flooring is installed.
Keep the area free from dust, loose debris, oil, paint and other trades. Do not use the levelled surface as a finished floor or expose it to unnecessary traffic before the recommended curing period has passed.
Before applying adhesive or fitting the floor covering, inspect the surface for damage or contamination. Any affected areas should be repaired or prepared in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
