Prepare the subfloor so it is solid, clean and free from dust, loose material, oil, paint, gypsum residues and other contaminants. Timber substrates must be securely fixed, with open joints filled before application. Prime the substrate with a suitable Mapei primer, then mix with clean water using a low-speed drill and paddle. Apply in a single coat and use a spiked roller where required to reduce air bubbles. Always follow the latest Mapei technical and safety guidance.
Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 is a fibre-reinforced, self-levelling compound made for refurbishing and repairing internal floors. Its broad 3mm to 40mm application range makes it particularly useful where a standard thin levelling compound will not provide enough build-up.
Designed for both domestic and commercial renovation work, it can be applied over a wide selection of properly prepared substrates, including timber floors. The fibre reinforcement supports a robust, stable finish, ready for new floor coverings once the compound has dried sufficiently.
Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 is a fibre-reinforced, self-levelling compound for internal refurbishment work. Prepare the substrate so it is sound, stable, clean and free from dust, oil, paint, loose material and other bond-breaking residues. Repair cracks and weak areas before application, and use a suitable primer where the substrate condition requires it.
Mix each 25kg bag with 4.25 to 4.5 litres of clean water using a mechanical mixer. Add the powder gradually and mix until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved. Do not add water once the product has begun to set.
Apply the compound at a thickness between 3mm and 40mm per coat using suitable levelling tools. Spread evenly and work within the stated open time. The material may be applied by hand or pump, depending on the project requirements.
Allow the screed to cure before installing the final floor finish. Drying and covering times depend on the thickness applied, substrate condition, temperature and humidity, so always verify that the surface is ready before proceeding.

Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 is a subfloor-preparation product and should be covered by the final floor finish once it has cured. Protect the prepared surface from dust, liquids, impact damage and contamination from other trades.
Do not use the screed as a finished traffic surface. Avoid dragging heavy items across it or exposing it to concentrated loads before the final covering is installed.
Before applying adhesive or laying the finished flooring, inspect the surface for loose debris, contamination or damage. Any affected areas should be prepared or repaired in line with Mapei’s current instructions.
