ARDEX A 46 is a fast-setting repair mortar for fixing damaged concrete inside or outside. It is useful when a surface needs repairing quickly, whether that is a chipped stair edge, a crack in a concrete floor, a hole in a wall or an uneven section that needs building back up.
The mortar is easy to work with and does not slump, so it can be used on floors, walls and overhead areas. Once mixed, it gives you around 15 minutes to work with it and sets in approximately 30 minutes. This makes it a good choice for repair work where waiting around for a standard mortar to dry is not practical.
It can be applied from 2mm up to 50mm in one application. The finished repair can be smoothed and floated for a clean surface that is suitable for painting. As it is shrinkage compensated, it is designed to dry without the cracking that can sometimes happen with basic repair compounds.
Make sure the repair area is sound, clean and free from dust, grease, loose material or anything that could affect adhesion. As ARDEX A 46 sets quickly, mix only the amount you can comfortably apply within the working time.
