Fit the CF20 to a clean, sound wall-to-floor junction using an appropriate adhesive. The resilient flooring can then be installed over the profile and continued up the wall. Finish the upper edge with a compatible capping seal or carpet cap where required.
The Gradus CF20 Cove Former is a PVC profile used to form a smooth curve where resilient flooring continues from the floor up the wall. Rather than folding the flooring sharply at the wall junction, it supports the material through a neat 20 mm cove.
This practical detail protects the flooring at one of its most vulnerable points and creates a cleaner skirting finish. It is particularly useful in commercial settings where a smooth, easy-to-clean wall-to-floor transition is required.
Supplied in a 2 metre black length, the CF20 is normally paired with a suitable capping seal or carpet cap to finish the top edge of the flooring neatly.
Gradus CF20 is a 20mm PVC cove former for internal resilient-floor installations. It supports the floorcovering as it turns from the floor up the wall, creating a neat, curved skirting detail rather than a sharp bend at the floor-to-wall junction.
Make sure the wall and subfloor are dry, clean, smooth and structurally sound before work begins. Measure the perimeter carefully, cut the 2m lengths accurately and dry-fit the profile, including any corners or changes in direction.
Bond the cove former to the prepared substrate with an adhesive compatible with the PVC profile and installation system. Ensure each length is straight, fully supported and firmly adhered before dressing the resilient floorcovering over the curve.
Finish the upper edge with a compatible capping seal or carpet cap where required by the flooring specification. Complete all seams, welding and waterproofing details in accordance with the floorcovering manufacturer’s instructions, particularly in hygiene-critical or wet-area installations.

Once concealed behind the resilient floorcovering, the CF20 cove former does not require separate routine maintenance. Keep the finished floor-to-wall junction clean using the care method recommended for the installed floorcovering.
Use non-abrasive cleaning equipment and avoid allowing dirt to build up along the coved skirting detail. During regular inspections, check that the floorcovering remains firmly bonded around the curve and that the capping seal, where fitted, remains secure.
