Ensure the wall and subfloor are clean, dry, smooth and properly prepared. Fit the skirting with a suitable contact adhesive, taking care to align it correctly with the floorcovering and selected cove system. Always follow the flooring manufacturer’s installation guidance for the complete specification.
Quantum Q100 50 2 SI is a flexible set-in skirting designed for resilient flooring installations where the floorcovering continues up the wall. The profile creates a smooth, integrated transition at the perimeter, giving the installation a more professional finish than a conventional hard edge.
Made from PVC and supplied in a 2m length, it is suited to internal commercial spaces where durable, practical wall protection is required. The 2mm gauge version is designed for use with compatible resilient floorcoverings of the same thickness.
Quantum Q100502SI is a 2mm flexible PVC set-in skirting, supplied in 2m lengths for use with compatible resilient flooring. Unlike sit-on skirting, it is designed for the floorcovering to be fitted into the profile and welded to it.
Prepare the wall and floor junction so it is clean, dry, smooth and structurally sound. Measure and cut the skirting accurately, allowing for corners, doorways and end details before adhesive is applied.
Bond the skirting to the wall and floor with a suitable contact adhesive, following the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure the profile is plumb, straight and fully supported, with no gaps or tension.
Fit the compatible vinyl or lino flooring into the profile, then heat weld the joint where required to create a sealed finish.

Quantum Q100502SI Set-In Skirting should be cleaned as part of the finished resilient-floor system. Use a soft cloth or mop with a mild, compatible cleaner to keep the skirting and wall-to-floor junction free from dirt and cleaning residue.
Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents and sharp scraping tools that could mark the PVC surface or damage the welded joint. Regularly inspect the perimeter for any split welds, loose edges or impact damage.
In areas that receive frequent wet cleaning, maintaining a sound sealed joint helps preserve an easy-clean, hygienic finish.
