Resilient flooring
Fit the CF32P to a clean, sound wall-to-floor junction using a suitable adhesive. Install the resilient flooring over the curved profile and continue it up the wall, then finish the upper edge with a compatible capping seal or carpet cap where specified.
The Gradus CF32P Cove Former creates a smooth 32 mm curve where resilient flooring continues from the floor up the wall. It supports the flooring through the wall junction, helping prevent stress at this vulnerable point and giving the installation a cleaner, more durable finish.
A coved floor detail removes the sharp internal corner where dust and debris can collect, making it a popular choice in spaces that need frequent cleaning. The CF32P is normally used alongside a compatible capping seal or carpet cap to finish the top edge of the flooring neatly.
Made from PVC and supplied in a 2 metre black length, this profile contains up to 100% recycled content. It is a simple but important component in professional safety vinyl and sheet-vinyl installations.
Gradus CF32P is a 32mm PVC cove former for internal resilient-floor installations. It provides a larger-radius curve at the base of the wall, allowing the floorcovering to continue up the wall as a durable, easy-to-clean skirting detail.
Before fitting, make sure both the wall and floor substrate are dry, clean, smooth and stable. Measure each run, allow for corners and cut the 2m profiles accurately before fixing. Dry-fitting is recommended to confirm alignment and minimise waste.
Secure the cove former with an adhesive compatible with the PVC profile, substrate and complete flooring system. Press each length firmly into position, maintaining a continuous, even curve with properly supported joints and corners.
Once bonded, install the resilient floorcovering over the cove in accordance with its manufacturer’s instructions. Fit a suitable capping seal or carpet cap to finish the exposed upper edge, and complete any required sealing or welding details for the installation environment.

The CF32P is protected once the resilient floorcovering has been dressed over it, so no separate cleaning regime is needed. Clean the completed coved skirting as part of the normal floor-care programme, using products approved for the installed floor finish.
Avoid harsh abrasives or solvent cleaners around the curve and top-edge detail. Include the cove in routine condition checks to identify any loose flooring, damage or separation at the capping seal before it develops further.
