Designed for use with compatible glue-down LVT installations
Install onto a clean, dry and level subfloor using a suitable carpet-tile adhesive. Check that all tiles are from the same production batch before fitting. Follow the directional arrows on the back of each tile to achieve the chosen layout, and fit the tiles neatly together without forcing the edges.
Polyflor Grain Marquetry Strips are decorative inlay accessories designed to add detail to wood-effect LVT floors. Laid across the direction of the plank grain, they create a purposeful break in the layout and can be used to form borders, framed areas or more individual flooring designs.
Available in Classic Oak and Walnut finishes, these strips provide a natural-looking contrast that works particularly well with timber-effect planks. They are supplied in two widths, allowing the detail to be kept subtle or made more prominent depending on the scale of the room and the chosen layout.
For the best result, the strip gauge must match the installation requirements of the LVT floor. Polyflor advises using an inlay accessory 0.5mm thinner than the plank or tile where the main flooring has a bevelled edge.
Polyflor Grain Marquetry Strips are 2mm LVT inlay accessories designed to add a contrasting detail across wood-effect plank layouts. They should be fitted as part of a planned glue-down LVT installation, not applied over an existing finished floor.
Ensure the strips are compatible with the selected LVT gauge and profile. When using bevelled planks or tiles, choose an inlay accessory that is 0.5mm thinner than the main flooring to maintain a level finished surface.
Set out the design before adhesive is applied, checking the strip placement, direction and cuts carefully. Fit the strips into the layout using a compatible adhesive and roll the surrounding floor thoroughly to achieve a full bond without raised edges or gaps.

Grain Marquetry Strips become part of the finished LVT floor and should be maintained using the same cleaning routine as the surrounding compatible vinyl tiles or planks. Remove dry dirt and grit regularly to help protect the floor surface.
Clean with a damp mop and a suitable neutral vinyl-floor cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, solvent cleaners and harsh chemicals, particularly along the detailed inlay areas.
Use entrance matting to reduce tracked-in dirt and protect the completed floor with furniture pads where required. Any damaged strip should be assessed and replaced by a competent flooring installer.
