Ensure the wall and subfloor are clean, dry, smooth and secure before fitting. Apply a suitable contact adhesive, position the cove former accurately at the wall-to-floor junction, then install the floorcovering over the formed radius in line with the manufacturer’s installation guidance.
Quantum QCF45 is a 45mm PVC cove former for resilient flooring installations that require a larger, smooth radius between the floor and wall. It supports the floorcovering as it is taken up the wall, creating a controlled curved transition rather than a sharp corner.
With its wider 45mm profile, the QCF45 is suited to coved flooring details where a more substantial radius is specified. It is supplied in a 2m length and is intended for internal use with compatible resilient floorcoverings.
Quantum QCF45 is a 45mm x 45mm PVC cove former for internal resilient-floor installations. Supplied in 2m lengths, it creates the concealed support needed to form a larger smooth curve from the floor up the wall.
Before fitting, ensure the junction is dry, even, firm and free from contaminants that could affect adhesion. Measure each run and plan cuts, returns and corner treatment before applying adhesive.
Secure the profile using a suitable contact adhesive in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Keep the QCF45 aligned along the full length of the junction and allow the bond to develop correctly before forming the floorcovering over it.
Use a compatible capping strip to finish the upper flooring edge, and follow the chosen floorcovering system’s requirements for welding and wet-area sealing where applicable.

The Quantum QCF45 Cove Former is concealed beneath the floorcovering, so maintenance should focus on the completed curved vinyl surface at the floor-to-wall junction. Clean this area regularly with the products and method recommended for the installed resilient flooring.
Avoid aggressive scouring, sharp cleaning tools and unsuitable chemicals around the coved edge, as these may score or loosen the floorcovering. Include the junction in routine inspections, particularly in areas exposed to regular mopping or wash-down cleaning.
