Before fitting, check that the wall tiles, cove former and floorcovering are compatible with the planned detail. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and sound, then install the profile accurately with a suitable contact adhesive in accordance with the complete flooring and wall specification.
Quantum QCT1 is a rigid Captile capping strip designed to finish the edge where a resilient floorcovering is taken up the wall beneath ceramic wall tiles. It creates a clean transition between the flooring and tiled wall surface, helping the finished detail look controlled and professional.
Made from uPVC, the QCT1 is suited to straight internal wall runs in commercial and hygiene-sensitive environments. It can be used with a compatible cove former to complete a practical cap-and-cove flooring system.
Quantum QCT1 is a rigid uPVC capping strip supplied in 2m lengths for internal use with resilient floorcoverings. It is designed to form a robust, neat finish at the upper edge of a coved flooring installation.
Confirm that the chosen profile is suitable for the flooring and wall detail before starting. The fixing surfaces must be dry, clean, stable and free from dust, grease, paint flakes and other contaminants.
Measure the run, mark accurate cuts and dry-fit the lengths before adhesive is applied. Use an appropriate contact adhesive and observe its specified application rate and open time. Position the QCT1 carefully and press it firmly into place, maintaining a consistent line and full contact along the profile.
Complete the floorcovering, cove former and any seam-welding or sealing work in line with the relevant installation specification.

Clean the visible face of the Quantum QCT1 Rigid Captile Capping Strip as part of the normal cleaning programme for the wall and resilient floor finish. A soft cloth or mop with a mild PVC-compatible cleaner is normally sufficient.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or aggressive solvents, which may dull the uPVC surface or affect the bond at the edges. Check the installation periodically, especially in wet-cleaned areas, and address any lifting or damaged sections promptly.
