The subfloor should be dry, clean, smooth and secure before fitting, with gripper installed around the perimeter of the room. Allow the carpet to acclimatise before installation and vacuum regularly to maintain its appearance.
Vanguard Aurora is a deep Saxony carpet made for rooms where comfort is just as important as day-to-day practicality. Its 15mm pile creates a soft, full surface that brings warmth to bedrooms and living areas, while the 100% polypropylene fibre makes it a sensible option for a busy household.
The range is rated for Class 23 heavy-domestic use and has a substantial 1900g/m² pile weight, giving it a luxurious feel without limiting it to low-traffic rooms. With a dual backing and a 10-year domestic wear and stain warranty, Aurora is designed to provide a dependable, inviting floor finish.
Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, sound and suitably prepared before installation, and use a suitable quality carpet underlay to provide support, comfort and help protect the carpet. Vanguard Aurora has a dual backing, is available in 4m and 5m widths, and has an approximate 11mm pile height and 12mm total thickness. It should be installed by a competent carpet fitter using suitable gripper rods, stretching and joining techniques to achieve a secure, smooth finish. The carpet is classified Heavy Domestic and is suitable for occasional-use stairs and underfloor heating when installed in accordance with the relevant requirements. Vacuum regularly using a suitable carpet vacuum to remove dust and loose dirt, taking care not to damage the deep pile. Treat spills and stains promptly using a suitable carpet cleaning product and follow the product manufacturer’s instructions. Avoid excessive moisture, harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning methods that could affect the carpet fibres or backing.
