Vanguard Sumptuous Saxony is a deep, soft carpet for rooms where comfort takes centre stage. Its 13.5mm Saxony pile brings a noticeably plush surface underfoot, helping to create a warmer, more relaxed feel in bedrooms and quieter living spaces.
Made from 100% polypropylene, this carpet offers a practical balance between softness and easy everyday care. The 1800g/m² pile weight, Action Back and Class 22 medium-domestic rating make it well suited to homes looking for a substantial carpet in lower-to-medium traffic rooms.
Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, sound and suitably prepared before installation, and use a suitable quality carpet underlay to provide additional comfort, support and protection. Vanguard Sumptuous Saxony has a secondary backing and is available in 4m and 5m widths, with a 13.5mm pile height and approximately 15.5mm total thickness. It should be installed by a competent carpet fitter using suitable gripper rods, stretching and joining techniques to achieve a secure, smooth and wrinkle-free finish. The carpet is classified as Class 22 Medium Domestic and has a Luxury Class 5 rating. Always follow the latest manufacturer’s fitting recommendations and warranty requirements before installation.

Vanguard Sumptuous Saxony is a 100% polypropylene Saxony carpet designed for medium domestic use, offering a soft, luxurious pile with easy-care, bleach-cleanable fibres. Vacuum regularly using a suitable carpet vacuum to remove dust and loose dirt, taking care around the 13.5mm pile. Treat spills and stains promptly using a suitable carpet cleaning product and follow the product manufacturer’s instructions. Where appropriate, diluted bleach can be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s care guidance, while excessive moisture, harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning methods should be avoided.
