Allow the carpet to acclimatise in the room before fitting, and use a professional installer where possible to maintain the appearance of the loop-pile surface.
Vanguard Auckland is a 100% wool loop-pile carpet with a naturally textured appearance and a lower-profile finish. Available in Linear and Hive designs, the range brings subtle pattern and depth to a room without the heavier look of a deep-pile carpet.
Its Class 23 heavy-domestic rating makes Auckland a dependable choice for homes that need a hard-wearing wool carpet in regularly used areas. The action backing and closely formed loop construction provide a stable foundation for a smart, tailored finish.
Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, sound and suitably prepared before installation, and use a suitable quality carpet underlay to provide support, comfort and help protect the carpet. Vanguard Auckland has a secondary backing and is available in 4m and 5m widths, with a 3–5mm pile height and 5–7mm total thickness. It should be installed by a competent carpet fitter using appropriate gripper rods, seams and stretching techniques to achieve a secure, smooth finish. The carpet is classified Heavy Domestic and is suitable for use over underfloor heating when installed in accordance with the relevant system requirements. Always follow the latest manufacturer and flooring installation guidance before fitting.
