Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, sound and suitably prepared before installation. Vanguard Galway features a durable felt backing and is available in 4m and 5m widths, with a 6mm pile height and approximately 8mm total thickness. It should be installed by a competent carpet fitter using an appropriate fitting method, with suitable preparation, cutting and securing techniques to achieve a smooth and secure finish. Where required, suitable carpet adhesive may be used with the felt backing, subject to the condition and suitability of the subfloor and adhesive manufacturer’s recommendations. Always use appropriate installation methods and follow the latest manufacturer’s fitting guidance to maintain the carpet’s warranty.
