Prepare the subfloor so it is sound, smooth, dry and free from dust, grease and loose material. Apply an even coat with a suitable roller and allow it to dry to a clear tacky film before laying the carpet tiles. Coverage will vary according to the absorbency of the subfloor and the carpet-tile backing.
STYCCOBOND F41 is a carpet-tile tackifier that dries to a permanently tacky film. It holds compatible loose-lay carpet tiles securely against normal foot traffic while still allowing individual tiles to be lifted and replaced when required.
The 15-litre pack is designed for larger carpet-tile installations. Its acrylic emulsion formulation is solvent-free, non-flammable and can be applied quickly with a roller for a controlled, even finish.
STYCCOBOND F41 is a solvent-free carpet-tile tackifier for dimensionally stable, flat-lay carpet tiles. It forms a clear, pressure-sensitive film that helps prevent tiles moving under normal traffic while retaining the ability to lift them individually.
Prepare the subfloor so it is smooth, dry, sound and free from dust, grease, loose material and contaminants. It may be used on suitable absorbent and non-absorbent backgrounds, including compatible smoothing compounds, waterproof surface membranes, concrete, screeds, plywood, raised-access panels and terrazzo.
Apply the tackifier evenly with a roller, taking care to achieve full and consistent coverage. Allow it to dry to a transparent, tacky film before laying the carpet tiles in the planned direction and pattern. Press tiles firmly into place without trapping air.
At 20°C, drying normally takes around 20 minutes. Typical coverage is approximately 8–22m² per litre, depending on substrate absorbency and carpet-tile backing.

STYCCOBOND F41 creates a permanently tacky layer beneath carpet tiles, allowing individual tiles to be lifted and replaced when worn, damaged or access beneath the floor is required. Keep replacement tiles clean and make sure the tackifier layer is free from dust before refitting them.
The finished carpet-tile floor can withstand normal wet-cleaning methods. Use a suitable cleaning programme for the selected tiles, remove spills promptly and avoid excessive moisture reaching joints or exposed floor edges.
