Measure the opening before installation and cut the trim carefully if a shorter length is needed. Position it centrally over the carpet join, checking that both carpet edges are held evenly beneath the dual-edge profile. Secure using a fixing method appropriate for the subfloor.
The Dual Edge Gold 2.7 m is an aluminium threshold trim for finishing carpet-to-carpet joins neatly. It sits over the meeting point between two carpeted areas, creating a smart transition that helps keep the edges protected and well presented.
Its longer 2.7 m length is suited to wide doorways, openings between rooms and installations where a continuous trim is preferred. The polished gold finish adds warmth and works particularly well with brass or gold-toned handles, furniture and fittings.
Designed with an edge on each side, the trim holds both carpet edges in place for a more complete look. It can also be cut down to suit the required opening.
Dual Edge Gold 2.7m provides a neat carpet-to-carpet transition across wider openings and can be cut into shorter lengths where needed. Measure carefully before cutting and finish any cut ends smoothly to remove sharp edges.
The threshold must be clean, dry, sound and level before fitting. Place the doorbar evenly over the carpet join, ensuring both carpet edges are straight and sit correctly beneath the dual-edge retaining sections. Check that the position allows the door to operate without catching.
Secure the profile with fixings that suit the subfloor. Fit the carpet edges progressively along the length of the bar, taking care not to pull, fray or trap the pile. Once complete, check that the trim is firmly fixed and presents an even, comfortable transition underfoot.

Keep the gold dual-edge doorbar free from dirt and abrasive particles by vacuuming the carpet edges regularly. For light marks, wipe the surface gently with a soft, damp cloth, then dry it to maintain a clean threshold finish.
Do not use solvent-based cleaners, bleach, scouring pads or metal polishes that are not intended for coated aluminium. Inspect the bar occasionally for signs of movement, particularly along long openings or heavily used doorways, and address loose fixings without delay.
