Apply STOPGAP F78 only to a clean, absorbent and mechanically prepared substrate with an existing structural damp-proof membrane. Check and record moisture readings before work begins, apply two uniform coats at the specified coverage rate, and allow the system to dry fully before continuing with compatible smoothing compounds or the final flooring installation.
STOPGAP F78 is a ready-to-use waterproof surface membrane for managing residual construction moisture before new floor coverings are installed. Unlike a two-part epoxy system, it requires no mixing, making it a convenient option for fast-track flooring projects and larger prepared areas.
The blue liquid is applied in a minimum of two coats to form a moisture barrier against residual construction moisture up to 95% RH. Its coloured finish makes coverage easier to monitor, and the resealable container allows unused product to be stored for future work.
STOPGAP F78 12kg is a ready-to-use, single-component waterproof surface membrane for controlling residual construction moisture beneath floorcoverings. It must be applied in a minimum of two coats and is suitable for relative humidity readings up to 95% when used as specified.
Take and record moisture readings before beginning. Apply only to clean, absorbent, sound substrates with a structural damp-proof membrane. Remove laitance, hardeners and contaminants, and mechanically prepare power-floated concrete. Do not use it over synthetic anhydrite, gypsum/sulphate subfloors or underfloor-heated bases.
Shake the bottle immediately before use. Apply the first coat evenly with a roller, then apply the second coat at right angles once the first is touch dry. At 20°C, allow approximately 15–30 minutes between coats and around 30 minutes for the second coat to cure.
Maintain the specified two-coat coverage rate of 3.3m²/kg; the 12kg bottle covers approximately 40m² on a smooth substrate.

STOPGAP F78 is a moisture-control membrane and should be protected after curing until it is covered by the specified smoothing compound, adhesive or floorcovering system. Keep the blue surface clean and avoid damage from sharp tools, traffic or stored materials.
Before overcoating, inspect the membrane for a continuous, pinhole-free finish. The membrane should be covered within 12 hours of curing; if this window is exceeded, apply a further coat of STOPGAP F78 and allow it to dry before continuing.
