Carpet-to-hard-floor transitions
Measure the finished opening before cutting the trim to length. Fit it after the flooring has been laid, positioning the edge so it finishes the carpet securely without trapping or marking the adjoining surface. Use fixings suitable for the subfloor.
The Single Edge Gold doorbar gives carpeted flooring a clean stopping point where it meets vinyl, lino or another hard floor surface. Its one-sided edge profile helps hold and protect the carpet boundary, creating a smarter finish at internal doorways.
The gold finish adds a warm, classic detail to the threshold and works especially well alongside brass handles, hinges and other matching interior fittings. Supplied in a 2.7m length, it is ideal for wider openings or can be cut into shorter lengths for several rooms.
This 2.7m gold single-edge profile is designed to finish and protect one exposed flooring edge at a doorway or room transition. Confirm that the selected trim is suitable for the floorcovering type, thickness and fixing detail before fitting.
Measure the opening and cut the profile carefully with a tool suitable for metal trims. Dry-fit the strip first so it is correctly aligned with the flooring edge and does not interfere with the operation of the door.
Ensure the fixing area is clean, dry and structurally sound. Secure the doorbar using the appropriate method for the product and subfloor, keeping it straight and firmly supported along its full length.

Clean the Single Edge Gold 2.7m doorbar using a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Regularly remove dust and grit from the profile and surrounding flooring edges to maintain a tidy threshold finish.
Avoid abrasive scouring pads, harsh chemicals and sharp tools, as these can scratch the gold-coloured surface. Check the trim periodically for loose fixings, damage or movement, particularly at frequently used doorways.
