Ensure the subfloor and flooring edge are clean, dry and firmly bonded before fitting. Cut the trim accurately, position the tapered edge against the floorcovering and fix it with a suitable contact adhesive. Check that the profile is fully supported and sits flat along its full length.
Quantum QFT450 is a flexible PVC ramp trim for finishing the exposed edge of resilient floorcoverings up to 4.5mm thick. It creates a tapered transition down to the surrounding surface, helping the flooring edge look neater and more secure.
At 33mm wide and supplied in a 2m length, this ramp trim is a practical finishing accessory for internal vinyl and other resilient flooring installations. Its flexible construction allows it to follow gentle variations along the edge of the floor.
Quantum QFT450 is a flexible PVC ramp trim supplied in 2m lengths for internal resilient-floor installations. Its 33mm-wide profile is designed to form a gradual finish from the subfloor to floorcoverings up to 4.5mm thick.
Check the flooring thickness and ensure the trim is appropriate for the change in level before fitting. The subfloor and bonding area must be clean, dry, firm and free from dust, grease or loose material.
Measure and cut the profile accurately, then dry-fit it to confirm that it sits flat and provides an even transition. Fix the QFT450 with a suitable contact adhesive, following the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions for application and bonding time.
Press the trim firmly into place along its full length, taking care not to stretch or distort the flexible PVC. Keep foot traffic off the area until the adhesive has cured as specified.

Clean the Quantum QFT450 Flexible Ramp Trim as part of the normal floor-cleaning programme. Use a soft mop or cloth with a mild cleaner suitable for PVC and the adjoining resilient floorcovering.
Avoid abrasive pads, solvent-based products and metal scraping tools, which can scratch the ramp surface or damage the edge of the flooring it protects. Inspect the trim regularly and remove any dirt trapped along its edges to help maintain a smooth transition.
If any section becomes loose or damaged, it should be repaired or replaced before it creates a raised edge.
