Prepare the wall and subfloor so they are clean, dry, smooth and secure. Fix the cove former in position using a suitable contact adhesive, then install the floorcovering over the profile in accordance with the relevant manufacturer’s fitting instructions.
Quantum QCF35 is a 35mm PVC cove former for resilient flooring installations. It supports sheet vinyl as it curves from the floor up the wall, replacing a sharp wall-to-floor corner with a smooth, consistent radius.
This 2m profile is useful wherever coved flooring is specified to create a neater perimeter detail. It is designed for internal use with resilient floorcoverings and is fitted using contact adhesive.
Quantum QCF35 is a 35mm x 35mm PVC cove former supplied in 2m lengths for internal resilient-floor installations. It provides concealed curved support where vinyl or similar flooring is continued from the floor up the wall.
The floor-to-wall junction must be clean, dry, sound and free from dust, grease or loose material. Plan the profile runs and cut each length accurately before fitting, allowing for internal and external corners.
Bond the cove former in place with a suitable contact adhesive, following the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure it is aligned consistently along the junction, then allow the adhesive to develop the required bond before dressing the floorcovering smoothly over the curve.
Finish the upper edge with a compatible capping strip and complete any necessary welding or wet-room sealing details to the flooring manufacturer’s specification.

The Quantum QCF35 Cove Former sits behind the floorcovering, so routine care is focused on the finished coved vinyl surface rather than the profile itself. Clean the floor-to-wall curve regularly using the cleaning method recommended for the installed resilient flooring.
Avoid using sharp blades, abrasive pads or harsh chemicals at the junction, as these can damage the floorcovering stretched over the cove. Inspect the area periodically for lifting, splits or damage, particularly in corners and frequently washed locations.
Keeping the curved transition intact supports a cleaner, easier-to-maintain finish between the floor and wall.
