Check the flooring thickness and measure the doorway before fitting. Cut the trim carefully to size, place it over the flooring edge and secure it with suitable fixings for the subfloor.
The Lino Edge 3.2mm in silver is a neat finishing trim for vinyl and lino flooring. It is designed to cover and protect the exposed edge of flooring where it reaches a doorway, helping the installation look more considered and professionally finished.
Its slim silver profile complements contemporary interiors without drawing too much attention away from the floor itself. The compact 0.9m length makes it a practical choice for standard internal doorways, smaller openings and quick finishing jobs.
Use this Lino Edge with floor finishes up to approximately 3.2mm thick. Confirm the flooring thickness before fitting, as an over-thick covering may prevent the trim from sitting correctly.
Prepare the doorway or exposed flooring edge so it is clean, dry and neatly cut. Measure the required length, mark the profile and cut it with a fine-tooth saw. Remove any sharp burrs from the cut end before installation.
Position the edge profile so the flooring sits correctly within it and the visible top surface lies flat. Dry-fit first to check the alignment, ensuring the profile does not distort, pinch or damage the flooring.
Fix the trim using a method suitable for the subfloor, checking for concealed pipes, cables and underfloor heating before drilling. Once secured, inspect the full length to confirm there are no loose sections, sharp ends or raised edges.

Keep the silver lino edge clean by removing dust and grit during your normal floor-cleaning routine. A soft cloth with warm water and a mild neutral cleaner is usually sufficient; dry the profile afterwards to avoid streaks and water marks.
Do not scrub the trim with abrasive pads or use solvent-based products, as they can damage the polished surface. Clean up spills promptly, particularly where the edge is used in kitchens, bathrooms or utility areas.
Check the fitted profile occasionally to ensure it is still firmly held and that the floor covering has not lifted at the finished edge.
