The Carpet Cover Gold 0.9m is a screw-down profile designed to create a neat join between two carpeted areas. It covers and protects the carpet edges at a doorway or transition point, giving the installation a cleaner, more finished look while helping to keep the edges held securely in place.
The strip has angled ribs underneath that grip into the carpet pile as it is fixed to the floor, drawing the two carpet edges together for a tidy finish. Its warm gold finish works well with traditional brass-effect door furniture and interiors, while the 0.9m length is ideal for standard doorways.
Measure the doorway or carpet join accurately, then cut the 0.9m profile to length using suitable metal-cutting equipment. File any sharp cut edges before fitting.
Position the cover strip centrally over the join between two carpeted areas. Its underside ribs are designed to grip the carpet pile and help draw the two edges together as the profile is fixed down.
Ensure the subfloor is clean, firm and suitable for mechanical fixing. Mark the fixing positions, drill and plug where necessary, then secure the strip with screws appropriate for the subfloor. Do not overtighten, as this may distort the profile.
Check that the trim sits flat and that both carpet edges are held neatly beneath it. Use the supplied colour-matched screws where provided, and make sure the finished threshold is secure before allowing regular traffic over it.

Keep the gold carpet cover strip clean by wiping it regularly with a soft, damp cloth, then drying it thoroughly. Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents and aggressive cleaners, as these may dull or damage the decorative finish.
Check the strip periodically, particularly in busy doorways. Tighten or replace any loose fixings promptly so the profile remains level and does not create a trip point.
Take care when moving heavy furniture or equipment across the threshold to avoid scratching, bending or lifting the trim.
