Install the TC48 as part of the tiled wall and coved-flooring system, following Gradus fitting instructions. Before fitting, check that the floorcovering thickness falls within the 2 mm to 6 mm gauge range and that the selected finish is suitable for the project.
Gradus TC48 is a co-extruded PVC-u/PVC tile cap made for finishing the point where ceramic wall tiles meet resilient flooring that has been coved up the wall. It covers the tile edge neatly, leaving the wall and floor junction looking properly finished rather than exposed.
Unlike a fixed-gauge profile, TC48 is designed to work with resilient floorcoverings from 2 mm to 6 mm thick. That flexibility makes it a useful finishing detail for commercial washrooms, healthcare spaces, changing areas and other interiors where coved flooring meets tiled walls.
Gradus TC48 is a co-extruded PVC-u/PVC tile cap for internal wall-and-floor transitions. It is used where ceramic wall tiles are finished above a resilient floorcovering that continues up the wall as a skirting, and is suitable for resilient floorcoverings between 2mm and 6mm thick.
Confirm that the tile, floorcovering and completed wall-and-floor build-up are compatible with the selected profile before installation. Prepare the wall and floor perimeter so they are dry, clean, level and structurally sound, then measure and cut the 2.5m profile accurately for each run.
Install the tile cap as part of the wall-tiling system, using a compatible tile adhesive and ensuring the profile is level before the tiles are set. Keep joins and corner details aligned to create an even finishing line.
After the tiling work has cured, install the resilient floorcovering up the wall to meet the tile cap. Complete bonding, sealing and any required welding in accordance with the resilient-floor manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring the final transition is neat and continuously supported.

Maintain the TC48 tile cap with the surrounding tiled wall and resilient-floor finish. Remove everyday dust with a soft cloth or mop, then clean with a neutral solution suitable for both the adjacent floorcovering and wall tile.
Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents and harsh chemical cleaners, particularly on metallic finishes. During routine checks, inspect the cap, tile edge and coved flooring for damaged areas, loose sections or gaps that may affect the appearance of the finished junction.
