ARDEX DPM 1 C is a one-coat surface damp-proof membrane designed to protect new floor installations from residual moisture in the subfloor. It is particularly useful where concrete or screed is still holding moisture, or where an older property has no effective structural damp-proof membrane.
The product is applied to the prepared subfloor before the levelling compound, adhesive or floor covering is installed. Once cured, it helps reduce the risk of moisture vapour affecting the new floor finish, which is especially important when fitting moisture-sensitive materials such as LVT, vinyl, wood and laminate flooring.
ARDEX DPM 1 C can deal with hygrometer readings of up to 98% relative humidity in a single coat. It adheres well to wet concrete, even at temperatures as low as 10°C, making it a practical choice for renovation work and projects where the subfloor is not yet fully dry.
The subfloor should be sound, clean and free from loose material, contamination and standing water before application. Always allow the membrane to cure fully before applying compatible levelling compounds, adhesives or floor coverings.
