Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry and smooth before installation, and trim the coved floorcovering neatly. Use an adhesive suitable for the PVC profile and substrate, then position the capping strip evenly along the upper edge to produce a consistent finish.
Quantum ZUCS1 is a PVC capping strip for completing coved resilient flooring installations. It finishes the upper edge of the floorcovering once it has been taken up the wall, creating a clean line around the perimeter of the room.
Supplied in a 2m length, this profile is a practical finishing component for internal sheet vinyl and safety flooring projects. It can be used as part of a compatible cap-and-cove system to achieve a neat, professional wall-to-floor detail.
Quantum ZUCS1 is a PVC capping strip supplied in 2m lengths for use with resilient flooring. It is designed to cover and finish the upper edge where the floorcovering continues up the wall in a cap-and-cove installation.
The wall, floorcovering edge and fixing surface should be dry, smooth, clean and free from dust, grease or loose material before work begins. Measure the run carefully, including corners and returns, and dry-fit each length before adhesive is applied.
Use a compatible contact adhesive in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Position the ZUCS1 evenly over the top edge of the flooring and apply firm pressure along its full length to achieve a secure bond.
Complete any associated cove former, welding and sealing work in line with the relevant flooring system specification. Refer to the Quantum ZUCS1 product information before installation.

Clean the Quantum ZUCS1 Capping Strip alongside the adjoining wall and resilient floorcovering using a soft cloth or mop with a mild cleaner suitable for PVC. Keeping the top edge of the flooring free from soil build-up helps maintain a neat perimeter finish.
Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvent cleaners and sharp tools that may scratch the profile or damage the flooring edge. Inspect the strip at regular intervals, paying close attention to joins, corners and areas exposed to frequent wet cleaning.
