Ensure carpet edges and jointing materials are clean, dry and free from dust before use. Apply a controlled amount of adhesive to the required area, work within the open time and press the carpet join or edge into position securely. Allow the adhesive to dry in accordance with site conditions before subjecting the area to traffic.
STYCCOBOND F1 is a natural rubber latex adhesive designed for seaming and sealing carpet. It is ideal for creating secure joins with suitable carpet jointing tape and for sealing cut carpet edges to help reduce fibre loss.
The smooth, creamy consistency is easy to apply accurately by brush or applicator. With an open time of around 20 minutes, it gives fitters time to position and finish carpet joins carefully.
STYCCOBOND F1 is a natural rubber latex adhesive for seaming and sealing carpets. It can be used with suitable jointing tape for traditional and hessian-backed carpet seams, and applied to cut carpet edges to help reduce fibre loss.
Ensure the carpet and working area are clean, dry and accurately trimmed before applying the adhesive. For a full carpet installation, the subfloor should also be sound, smooth, dry and properly prepared.
Apply STYCCOBOND F1 carefully with a brush or suitable applicator, using only enough adhesive to achieve a neat, controlled bond. When seaming, use it with the appropriate jointing tape and bring the carpet edges together accurately without forcing the join.
The adhesive has an open time of approximately 20 minutes, allowing time to position the carpet correctly. Follow the jointing-tape and carpet manufacturer’s instructions throughout installation.

Clean away any uncured STYCCOBOND F1 from tools and adjacent carpet surfaces promptly, following the manufacturer’s guidance. Once the seam or edge treatment has dried, avoid stressing the joint until the carpet installation is complete.
For routine carpet care, vacuum regularly and deal with spills in accordance with the carpet manufacturer’s recommendations. Keep seams and edges protected from excessive pulling or snagging.
