Before fitting, make sure the wall is clean, dry and smooth and the floorcovering has been properly coved and trimmed. Cut the coil carefully to suit the installation, then fix the capping strip evenly in accordance with the recommended adhesive and full flooring system guidance.
Quantum UCS3 is a slimline flexible PVC capping strip supplied in a generous 20m coil. It is used to finish the upper edge of resilient flooring where the floorcovering has been coved up the wall, creating a more discreet and refined perimeter detail.
The slimline design helps minimise the ledge where dust and dirt may collect, making it a useful option for clean, low-maintenance interiors. The long coil length also reduces the number of joins needed on corridors and larger commercial installations.
Quantum UCS3 is a slimline flexible PVC capping strip supplied in a 20m coil for internal resilient-floor installations. It is designed to finish the upper edge of flooring that is continued up the wall in a cap-and-cove detail.
Ensure the wall, floorcovering and bonding surfaces are dry, smooth and free from dust, grease or loose material. Uncoil only the amount needed and allow the profile to relax before cutting and fitting, particularly where it will follow long wall runs or corners.
Apply a suitable contact adhesive in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Align the UCS3 consistently over the flooring edge and press it firmly into place without stretching, buckling or leaving gaps.
Complete any compatible coving, welds and wet-area sealing details in line with the selected flooring system specification.

Clean the Quantum UCS3 Slimline Flexible Capping Strip as part of the normal floor and wall maintenance routine. Its narrow visible edge can be wiped with a soft cloth or mop using a mild cleaner suitable for PVC and the adjoining resilient floorcovering.
Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvent cleaners and sharp implements, which can mark the profile or damage the floorcovering edge. Keep the capping line clear of dirt build-up and inspect it regularly for lifting, open joints or impact damage.
