Prepare the wall and subfloor so they are clean, dry, smooth and sound before fitting. Fix the cove former with an adhesive approved for the system, then install the floorcovering over the formed radius in accordance with its manufacturer’s instructions.
Quantum ECF2 is a compact PVC cove former designed to support resilient flooring where it curves from the floor up the wall. Its 20mm x 20mm profile creates a smooth radius at the wall-to-floor junction, giving sheet vinyl a cleaner and more controlled finish.
Supplied in a 2m length, it is a useful component for internal flooring installations that require practical, easy-to-maintain detailing. The formed curve also avoids a sharp corner where dirt can collect, making it well suited to hygiene-conscious spaces.
Quantum ECF2 is a 20mm x 20mm PVC cove former supplied in 2m lengths. It provides a concealed radiused support that allows compatible resilient sheet flooring to curve smoothly from the floor up the wall.
Prepare the wall and floor so they are clean, dry, smooth and free from dust. Confirm that the wall-to-floor junction is straight and consistent before fitting, as this helps create an even cove without voids or distortion.
Measure and cut the profile accurately, then secure it at the wall-to-floor junction using a suitable contact adhesive. Follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions for application, open time and bonding.
Fit the resilient floorcovering over the profile carefully, maintaining a consistent radius and avoiding tension, creases or trapped air. Complete the upper edge with a compatible capping strip where required.

Quantum ECF2 is concealed beneath the resilient floorcovering once fitted, so it does not need separate cleaning. Maintain the finished coved floor and wall junction using the cleaning guidance for the installed vinyl or other resilient floorcovering.
Check the coved area periodically for damage, separation or loss of bond, especially in wet, hygiene-sensitive or heavily cleaned spaces. Any damaged floorcovering at the cove should be repaired promptly by a competent installer.
Avoid using sharp scraping tools on the wall-to-floor curve, as these may damage the floorcovering above the profile.
