Quantum ZECF4 is a 32mm PVC cove former for creating a smooth transition between the floor and wall. It supports the floorcovering as it is formed upwards at the perimeter, helping produce a neat coved finish rather than a sharp corner.
Suitable for internal hard and soft floorcoverings, the ZECF4 offers a versatile option for projects that need a practical, cleanable floor-to-wall detail. It is supplied in a 2m length and fixed with contact adhesive.
Quantum ZECF4 is a 32mm x 32mm PVC cove former supplied in 2m lengths for internal flooring installations. It provides concealed support that allows a compatible floorcovering to turn smoothly from the floor up the wall.
Prepare the floor-to-wall junction so it is clean, dry, firm and free from dust, grease and loose material. Measure each run in advance and plan the profile cuts, corners and any associated mitre details before applying adhesive.
Fix the cove former using a compatible contact adhesive in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Keep it aligned consistently along the junction, then allow the adhesive to reach the correct bonding stage before forming the floorcovering over the profile.
Finish the upper flooring edge with a suitable capping strip and complete any required welding or sealing to the floorcovering system specification.

The Quantum ZECF4 Cove Former is fitted behind the floorcovering, so cleaning should be directed at the finished coved floor surface. Follow the care guidance for the installed flooring and pay particular attention to the curved floor-to-wall junction during routine cleaning.
Avoid abrasive pads, sharp tools and unsuitable chemicals that could score or weaken the floorcovering around the curve. Check the coved edge at intervals for tears, lifting or damage, especially in corners and regularly washed areas.
