Altro PVC Weld Rod is used to seal the joins between sheets of Altro safety flooring and smooth vinyl flooring. Once the floor has been fitted, the weld rod is heated and fused into the prepared joint to create a neat, strong finish.
Using a matching weld rod helps the joins blend in with the flooring while also giving the installation a more professional appearance. It is particularly useful in areas where hygiene and regular cleaning matter, such as healthcare settings, education sites, kitchens, washrooms and commercial spaces.
Each coil contains 50 metres of 4.5mm PVC weld rod. Choose the colour that matches your selected Altro flooring for the best overall finish. Hot welding should be carried out by an experienced flooring installer using the correct equipment and installation method.
Always select the weld rod colour to match the flooring being installed. For a clean, secure result, the floor joins should be properly grooved and hot welded by a trained flooring professional.
