ARDITEX CL PLUS+ is a stronger, more versatile version of a standard latex levelling compound. Supplied as a 20kg bag of powder with a 4.8kg bottle of latex liquid, it is designed to smooth and level internal subfloors before new flooring is fitted.
Its fibre-reinforced formula gives the compound added strength and flexibility, making it particularly useful where the existing floor is not in perfect condition. It is also moisture tolerant, so it can be used directly onto damp concrete and over suitable damp-proof membranes without being affected by residual moisture.
ARDITEX CL PLUS+ flows well and is easy to spread, helping you achieve a smooth surface ready for flooring. It can often be applied directly to a range of prepared surfaces, including old adhesive residue, bitumen, ceramic tiles, concrete, screeds and flooring-grade plywood. This can save time on projects where removing every trace of the old surface is not practical.
The surface can take light foot traffic in around two hours, and most floor coverings can be installed after as little as eight hours. It can be applied from a feather edge up to 10mm in one application and is suitable for use over heated screeds.
The floor must still be clean, sound and properly prepared before application. While ARDITEX CL PLUS+ can be used without priming on many suitable surfaces, always check the ARDEX technical guidance for your particular subfloor and flooring finish. Do not use it over rubber, linoleum, cork or moisture-sensitive floor coverings.
