Finishing and protecting one flooring edge
Measure the doorway before cutting the trim. Position it neatly along the flooring edge and secure it using a fixing method suitable for the subfloor, taking care not to mark or damage the finished floor surface.
The Plain Single Edge Silver 0.9m provides a straightforward way to finish an exposed flooring edge at a doorway or room transition. Its single-edge design creates a defined, tidy line where one floor covering ends, helping the completed installation look more polished.
With a clean silver finish, this trim complements contemporary interiors and works naturally alongside chrome or brushed-metal door furniture. The 0.9m length is well suited to many standard internal openings.
This single-edge doorbar is designed to finish and protect one exposed flooring edge at a doorway or transition. Confirm that the profile suits the flooring thickness and the level difference before installation.
Fit the floor covering first, ensuring its edge is cleanly trimmed and secure. Measure the doorway, then mark and cut the 0.9m profile with a fine-tooth saw. Smooth any burrs from the cut ends before positioning the trim.
Dry-fit the profile along the edge to check that it lies flat and provides an even finish. It should not compress, trap or damage the floor covering beneath it.
Fix the trim using a method suitable for the subfloor, taking care to identify any concealed pipes, cables or underfloor heating before drilling. Once fitted, confirm that the profile is stable, level and safe underfoot.

Remove dust and debris from the silver single-edge trim during regular cleaning of the surrounding floor. Use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild neutral cleaner, then dry the surface to maintain its polished appearance.
Avoid wire brushes, abrasive pads and strong solvent cleaners, as these can scratch or discolour the profile. Clear spills promptly to prevent residue from collecting along the flooring edge.
Check the trim occasionally for loose fixings or movement. The profile should remain flush and secure, with no lifting at the adjoining floor finish.
