The subfloor must be clean, dry, stable and free from materials that could affect adhesion. Prepare and prime the surface where required, then mix the compound with clean water to the specified ratio and apply promptly due to its short working time. Covering times depend on site conditions and the selected floor finish, so always follow UZIN’s technical guidance.
UZIN NC 172 BiTurbo is an extremely rapid-drying cement-based smoothing compound for internal floor preparation. It is designed for projects where the final floor needs to be installed with minimal delay, creating a smooth base that is ready to receive most floor coverings after approximately 60 minutes in suitable conditions.
Its hydraulic-setting formulation supports dependable drying, while the flowing consistency helps achieve an even surface before flooring is laid. Suitable for a wide range of applications, NC 172 BiTurbo can be used ahead of resilient, textile, cork and wood floor coverings.
UZIN NC 172 BiTurbo is a rapid-drying, cement-based smoothing compound for internal floors. It is suitable for a wide range of substrates and applications, including demanding residential, commercial and industrial areas.
Prepare the subfloor so it is load-bearing, dry, clean and free from cracks, dust, grease, loose material and other contaminants. Abrade and vacuum cementitious or calcium sulphate screeds where necessary, then use the appropriate UZIN primer for the substrate and application depth.
Mix the 20kg bag with approximately 4.8–5.2L of clean water until smooth and lump-free. Apply and spread immediately using suitable smoothing tools, as the working time is a maximum of around 15 minutes at 20°C. The compound may also be pump applied where appropriate.
At 20°C, NC 172 BiTurbo is normally walkable after approximately 60 minutes and can receive most textile and resilient floorcoverings from this point. Allow around 12 hours before fitting wood, cork or polyolefin flooring. Refer to the UZIN NC 172 BiTurbo product information before installation.

UZIN NC 172 BiTurbo is a rapid smoothing layer and should be protected from dust, moisture, damage and unnecessary traffic after it has set. Do not leave the surface exposed longer than necessary; it is not intended to be used as a finished wearing floor.
Before adhesive or flooring is applied, remove loose debris and check that the surface is smooth, dry and sound. Follow the maintenance guidance for the final floorcovering once the installation is complete.
