The Family Floor Long Island is a medium-toned European oak floor that balances warm wood character with a streamlined square-edge board profile. Its brushed UV-lacquered surface makes the grain feel more present without complicating daily cleaning.
The 9mm engineered boards use a 0.6mm oak veneer, birch plywood core and natural cork underlayer. Each 178mm x 1500mm plank uses the 5G Fold Down click system and is designed to float over a suitable prepared base.
Allow the sealed packs to acclimatise flat in the installation space. Ensure the subfloor is dry, clean, flat and structurally stable, and verify its moisture condition before fitting.
Install as a floating floor using the 5G Fold Down mechanism. Keep an expansion allowance around the room perimeter and every fixed feature, then follow the supplied guidance on joint staggering and finishing profiles.
This floor can be used with a compatible underfloor-heating system when all manufacturer requirements are met.
