Check that the skirting profile is suitable for the selected floorcovering thickness before fitting. Install onto clean, dry and smooth surfaces with a suitable contact adhesive, then fit the resilient flooring in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions for the complete system.
Quantum QZ100 50 2 SI is a 100mm PVC set-in skirting profile for 2mm resilient flooring systems. It creates a smart, integrated finish where the floor meets the wall, allowing the floorcovering to continue up the perimeter instead of ending at a conventional skirting board.
The flexible profile is designed for internal use and provides a practical solution for commercial areas where wall protection, easy cleaning and a consistent floor-to-wall detail are important.
The Quantum QZ100 50 2 SI is a flexible PVC set-in skirting for internal resilient-floor installations. Its 100mm height, 50mm base and 2mm gauge are designed to form a continuous wall-to-floor detail with the selected floorcovering.
Ensure the wall and floor surfaces are dry, clean, smooth and structurally sound before installation. Plan the layout first, including corners, doorways and joints, then cut and dry-fit each 2m length for accurate positioning.
Apply a suitable contact adhesive in line with the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Align the profile evenly, press it firmly into position and avoid stretching or distorting it around corners.
Fit the resilient floorcovering into the profile as required by the flooring system. Where a welded junction is specified, complete it using the relevant floorcovering manufacturer’s method.

Clean the Quantum QZ100 50 2 SI Set-In Skirting at the same time as the surrounding resilient flooring. A soft cloth or mop and a mild, PVC-compatible cleaner will help keep the wall-to-floor junction clean without affecting the profile.
Avoid abrasive cleaning pads, harsh solvents and sharp scraping tools, which may damage the skirting surface or adjoining flooring. Check regularly for lifting, impact damage or openings at joins and corners, particularly in areas subject to frequent cleaning.
A well-maintained set-in skirting detail helps retain a neat, hygienic-looking perimeter finish.
